WITH summer just around the corner the gigs are coming thick and fast at the moment and tonight Travis are stopping at the O2 before they shoot off around the world to play on the festival circuit.

With a new album out Fran Healy promises some new songs with some older tunes thrown in to keep everyone happy.

Accordingly the set starts with 'Everything at Once' the title track of the new album and continues with ‘Selfish Jean’, ‘Coming Around’ and ‘Waiting To Reach You’ all to a low key light set up and a cityscape backdrop that looks as thought the band may have built it themselves!

The set also contain Animals, Idlewild, 3 Miles High and Magnificent Time from the latest album and they all go down well but unsurprisingly the biggest reaction of the night was saved for Driftwood, Side and Sing, followed by a quick foray into the pit and a chorus of Happy Birthday, before it was back onto the stage and on with the show with Closer and main set finale Turn.

The encore kicked off with ‘Flowers In The Attic’ followed by ‘Unbelievers’, ‘Magnificent Time’ and British summer festival favorite sing-along 'Why Does It Always Rain On Me'

This was a lovely night of music and stories about the origins of some of the material on offer including one of the first songs they played when they formed 'All I Wanna Do Is Rock' which they are still doing 20 years later, and long may it continue.
