THE UK’s biggest Youth Music festival has announced it’s first line up of bands for 2016 with Southampton's Creeper being among the first confirmed acts.

Hampshire-based Butserfest celebrates it's tenth birthday this year on Saturday September 10 and organisers promise it will be bigger and better than ever before.

The first twelve bands who will be gracing the stages at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield this year include: French hardcore pop punkers Chunk! No Captain Chunk (their first European act ever), new grave rockers Fearless Vampire Killers and Ashestoangels, the much in demand Southampton punk outfit Creeper, pop punkers WSTR, alternative rock bands Crooks and Casey, melodic hardcore boys Blood Youth, Portsmouth's electronic rockers Seething Akira, female led rock outfit Tigress, melodic metalcore band Faultlines and Butserfest's Introducing Stage winners from 2015 Flashfires, who hail from Basingstoke.

Butserfest team leader Bob Coleman, said:

“The top secret headliners for 2016 are global names that are going to blow your minds but you will have to watch this space until the end of May when they are announced. It’s not all about the headliners though, Butserfest showcases the very best in music and will have three stages, each one focusing on a different genre, showcasing established bands and introducing up and coming acts.”

Organised by East Hampshire District Council, Butserfest is the UK’s biggest and best alcohol and drug free festival. It was designed and launched specifically for young people in the area to give them access to a great festival experience with world class music, in a safe environment.

Early Bird tickets are still available for a limited time at just £15.

In addition to the music, this year will also see the return of the amazing activities zone, expanded for 2016 and all included in the ticket price. Debuting in 2016 is an awesome zip wire! The full range of new activities is yet to be revealed but last year festival goers had a blast on zorbs, skateboard and surfboard simulators and last man standing games.

Bob Coleman continued:

“It’s essential to us that the ethos of Butserfest remains one of a fantastic festival experience in a safe drug and alcohol free environment and we are committed to making sure that everyone who attends in September leaves after the event happy, healthy and having experienced the best festival ever.”
