A TOP children’s book is set to be performed live on stage at Theatre Royal Winchester
A stage version of What The Ladybird Heard will be performing at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday and Friday November 12 and 13.
Based on the award-winning picture book by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks, Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len have a cunning plan to steal the farmer’s fine prize cow but they reckon without the tiniest, quietest creature of all.
Young children will love the woolly sheep, the hairy hog, the fat red hen and the dainty dog in this new stage adaptation of the popular farmyard adventure which comes complete with live music, puppetry, plenty of audience participation and lots of laughs.
Other books by former Children’s Laureate Julia Donaldson include The Gruffalo and Stick Man
Performances of What The Ladybird Heard are at 1.30pm and 4.30pm on Thursday and at 10.30am and 1.30pm on Friday.
Tickets are available on 01962 840 440 and at theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk.
