WINCHESTER band Flight Brigade will be returning to their roots at a special gig in Hampshire on October 31.

The band made up of seven members have been regulars at the Railway in Winchester where they have played as regulars for years.

The band have had a busy summer and played at 16 festivals across the country , including The Great Escape where their showcase was described as ‘phenomenal’, ‘astounding’ and ‘breathtaking’, Glastonbury where they were one of Supajam’s highlights and Bestival where they were described as ‘Biffy (Clyro) with girls’.

Their last releases, ‘Smoke & Wine’ and ’Housefire’ created a buzz, receiving radio play from BBC Introducing, 6 Music and Radio 2.

They release their new EP, “Stealing Fire” on the 23rd October with a UK Autumn tour in support. The tracks were mixed by Donald Clark (TheKnife, Muse) and Brian Virtue in Los Angeles (30 Seconds to Mars, Jane’s Addiction, Deftones, Audioslave) with multi-Grammy nominated Mandy Parnell at the mastering controls.

The band’s debut album, with tracks co-produced by Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Kings of Leon), will be out early 2016.

Flight Story are made up of lead singer Ollie his wife Miriam and her sister Dorian, with long-term friends Thomas Pink, Neil Blandford, Tom Clay and Jonny Barker.

They have received praise from 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson, BBC Introducing’s Gary Crowley and Phil Jackson and BBC Radio 2 DJ Janice Long.

Flight Brigade will be embarking on an Autumn tour in support of the “Stealing Fire” EP before gearing up for a busy 2016 which will see them release a new single and debut album and they have plans to tour in Europe and North America.
