THE SOUNDS of classic rock will be blaring out from Totton’s Hanger Farm Arts Centre on Friday.
Voodoo Room will be performing the music of Hendrix and Cream on Friday (November 6) at the Aikman Lane venue.
The UK scene of the late 1960s was a melting pot of musical styles from which the fusion of Blues/Rock emerged, establishing the power trio as the driving force of the era.
At the forefront of this movement, undoubtedly were Cream and The Jimi Hendrix Experience, their hugely talented make-ups spawning the title of “Super Group”.
Paying homage to these first “Super Groups” of rock are the recently formed Voodoo Room.
A new and exciting classic power trio, featuring some of the UK's finest musicians whose credits include the likes of Stevie Winwood, Ben E King, Duran Duran, and Lulu.
Capturing the essence of this brief but momentous period in modern musical history, they perform the iconic tunes of Hendrix and Cream, with the energy and virtuosity that is at the heart of this incredible music.
Their show starts at 8pm. Tickets £15.40 (includes booking fee) are available from www.hangerfarm.co.uk or call 023 8066 7683.
