IN 1997, a film about six out-of-work Sheffield steel workers with nothing to lose took the world by storm, becoming one of the most successful British films ever made.

Now, the boys are back. Only this time they really have to go The Full Monty - live on stage.

The Full Monty makes its second visit to Mayflower Theatre next week, featuring an all star cast.

Simon Beaufoy, the Oscar winning writer of the film, has gone all the way with this hilarious and heartfelt adaptation that's getting standing ovations every night.

Gary Lucy, of EastEnders, Dancing on Ice, Footballers Wives and Hollyoaks fame leads the cast as Gaz, alongside Dinnerladies star Andrew Dunn, Louis Emerick, from Brookside and Last of the Summer Wine and Coronation Street's Rupert Hill.

The production also features the iconic songs from the film by Donna Summer, Hot Chocolate and Tom Jones.

The Full Monty is Simon Beaufoy’s first work for the theatre. His screen credits include winning the BAFTA for The Full Monty, 127 Hours, Salmon Fishing in Yemen, Slumdog Millionaire and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

This new production is directed by Jack Ryder, who previously played Jamie Mitchell in EastEnders. His directing credits include national tours of Calendar Girls.

The Full Monty runs from Monday to Saturday.
