NEXT month will see the start of a new monthly music event, bringing some of the country’s best Jazz musicians to the heart of Hampshire.
Jazz on the Green will see a different live band grace the stage for two hours of Traditional Jazz and Swing music each month. First to grace the Jazz on the Green stage, on November 13, will be The Amy Roberts & Richard Exall Quintet.
Featuring two of the most exciting and versatile musicians on the jazz scene today, they perform an eclectic range of high octane music on a range of clarinets, saxophones and flute.
Their performances include popular standards and vocals as well as more unusual material inspired from early jazz/swing music, guaranteeing an entertaining programme which crosses musical styles and boundaries that appeals equally to jazz aficionados and music lovers.
Founded by local Jazz enthusiast Barry Quantrill, Jazz on the Green is a non-profit making venture and takes place at Sarisbury Green Community Centre.
