HUM Drum choose a show that is anything but, with this macabre comedy.

Featuring Abby (Lin Warner) and Martha Brewster (Sue Bartlett), two sweet maiden aunts living in the family townhouse in Brooklyn and caring for their addled nephew, Teddy (Ben Counter) and their community.

The extent of their altruism spans to providing a final solace to elderly, homeless men.

The plot thickens when their stable nephew, Mortimer (Tim Sturton-Davies) discovers their hobby and the final homicidal nephew, Jonathan (Ben McCready) arrives on the scene, with a body of his own.

This show relies on full commitment from all the cast, and the seamless and dead pan delivery of the most farcical and improbable lines.

The innocence and homeliness of the aunts, contrasts beautifully with the thuggishness of Johnathan and his side kick, Dr Einstein (Aaron Holdaway).

Even the cameo roles of Rev Harper/ Mr Witherspoon (Peter Colley) and Officer O’Hara (Tony Johnson) stand out as a result of the conceptualisation of the characters.

When done by a cast as talented as this one, every moment is golden.
