PATRICK Kielty is returning to his stand up roots with his new show Help.

He recently made his debut run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival performing seven shows in Studio Three at the Assembly George Square, before taking the show on tour in the autumn including a date at The Point, Eastleigh tomorrow.

Patrick first rose to fame in 1995 after appearing on Comic Relief’s St Patrick’s Day Stand Up Special alongside comic heavy-weights Ben Elton and Jo Brand, having earned a reputation in Ireland for his fearless satirical routines.

Following his successful TV debut Kielty went on to host Channel 4 comedy series Last Chance Lottery and hit BBC series show Fame Academy.

His chat show Patrick Kielty Almost Live hit screens in 2002 and ran for six seasons on BBC1 to critical acclaim. More recently Patrick has been a regular voice on BBC Radio 2, also making appearances on Channel 4’s Comedy Roasts and hosting the channel’s popular show Stand Up For the Week.
