WAVE 105’s Night Air concerts will return to Bournemouth beach this summer.

Following last year’s hugely popular shows which featured UK pop acts Rizzle Kicks and Rixton, Night Air will return for three nights of music at Bournemouth Air Festival 2015.

Held on Thursday, August 20, Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, this year’s event has been extended from two to three evenings of music to suit all tastes and ages, making the newly crowned VisitEngland Tourism Event of the Year an even bigger and better festival weekend.

Jon Brooks, Wave 105 commercial director, said: “Year on year we strive to make Wave 105 Night Air a truly memorable event for the whole family. From the introduction of an additional evening of music with our ‘Proms on the Beach’ premiere to the celebration of 25 years of dance music, we are proud to be increasing the entertainment choice for the air festival visitors.”

After the stunning visual displays from an array of aircraft, the Wave 105 Night Air stage will play host to a range of exclusive live-acts yet to be announced. With Kodaline, Blue, Newton Faulkner, Stooshe, Tony Hadley and Sophie Ellis-Bextor amongst the previous years’ roster of five-star acts, anticipation is high to discover who will take to the stage to perform their hits. against the beautiful Bournemouth beach backdrop.

Jon Weaver, festival director, said: “Entertainment doesn’t stop with the last aircraft, Wave 105 will be staging an impressive Night Air music line-up featuring three different music nights with three very different musical genres – Thursday ‘Proms on the Beach’ with HM Band Collingwood, Friday welcomes the best chart acts and Saturday night’s celebration of dance music – something for everyone!”

With four days of Red Arrows displays, alongside the mighty Typhoon and Hawk Role Demo – a first for the event, supported with a multitude of Royal Navy assets, pier to pier county show trading stalls and Wave 105 staging three nights of music from different genres, the UK’s best aviation festival is much more than just an air show!
