STUDENTS from Winchester played their part in one of the country’s largest music festivals.
Using colourful recyclable materials, four University of Winchester Street Arts students took their latest show to Glastonbury Festival – which ran from June 24-28.
The performance, named Junk Junkies, highlighted the environmental benefits of waste recycling.
The group has also been booked for Larmer Tree, Somerfest and BoomTown festivals.
Leader of the course, John Lee, said: “The Junk Junkies are aliens from a distant planet – collecting what humans throw away as rubbish, and building it into beautiful installations to be treasured.
“As naive visitors to Earth, everything seems a wonder to them and they marvel at what they value most is lying around in such abundance.”
