A BAND that has been on a near constant world tour for 12 years is set for a Hampshire gig.

Electric Eel Shock is heading for the Railway Inn in Winchester on June 7 with their celebration of classic rock, punk and metal.

The band is made up of Aki Morimoto on guitar and vocals, Kazuto Maekawa on bass and Tomoharu ‘Gian’ Ito on drums.

They left their native Japan in 1999 to crack America and in 2003 came to Europe; they haven’t stopped touring since with 35 countries ticked off at the last count.

EES have played both major and minor festivals, featuring alongside the likes of The Bloodhound Gang, Motorhead and Presidents of USA.

The gig on June 7 is over-18s. Tickets cost £9; go online to railwaylive.co.uk to book.
