ORGANISERS of the first ever Common People Festival started the party fun early as they 'yarn bombed' trees in the city centre.
With just days to go before the metropolitan knees-up, the Common People team brought a taste of their Bestival antics to Southampton, in a morning of ticket giveaways, tombola fun, and even a rave in a pram!
In celebration of the impending two days of fun at Common People on Southampton Common next weekend, they yarnbombed trees in Southampton’s East Park.
Yarnbombing is a form of street art that entails covering outdoor items with knitwear, for example a lamppost, a bus stop, a sign, or a tree!
They then posted out clues on radio and social media. Listeners were invited to take a selfie with the wool-adorned trees to win prizes, including Common People and Bestival tickets, T-shirts, books and much more!
