THE sun is shining, the mercury is rising and it can only mean one thing – Isle of Wight Festival 2015 is almost here.

There are just seven weeks to go until the gates of Seaclose Park are officially opened for what promises to be another spectacular long weekend.

Tens of thousands of people have already snapped up their tickets for the legendary festival – the first major event of the summer in the British music calendar.

But one lucky Daily Echo reader is set to get their hands on a money-can’t-buy experience and become a VIP for the entire weekend after we teamed up with Isle of Wight Festival for a special ticket giveaway complete with backstage buggy ride for you and three friends.

What more of a draw could you need than the chance to see some of the biggest acts on the world music stage all in one place?

Headlining this year’s extravaganza, which takes place from June 11-14, are The Black Keys and The Prodigy, who will get the party started by closing the show on the first full night in Newport.

The following day it will be the turn of Damon Albarn and his Britpop band Blur – the final headline act to be confirmed.

It will be a south coast homecoming for the band’s bassist Alex James, who hails from Bournemouth, and follows the announcement of their new album The Magic Whip.

Bringing down the curtain on the entire weekend will be a job for 1960s British-American band Fleetwood Mac, pictured below, with their giant back catalogue of hits that have seen them sell more than 100 million records worldwide.

Daily Echo:

If that alone is not enough to make you book your tickets, there is the promise of scores of huge acts including Pharrell Williams, Paolo Nutini, Jessie Ware, James Bay, Billy Idol, Paul Oakenfold and The Charlatans, who will be performing throughout the weekend.

There will also be DJ sets, an array of acoustic and upcoming talent performances and a giant arena boasting 12 separate stages and no end of entertainment to suit all ages.

Tickets are on sale with a variety of options available and can be booked online at isleofwight festival.com.
