ROY ORBISON fans should head over to Christchurch next week.

Barry Steele presents his all live spectacular multi-media tribute to The Big O, featuring classic Orbison hits from the 60s right through to the late 80s, when Roy joined a band of men who called themselves The Traveling Wilburys.

Barry Steele & His Band will be at the Regent, Christchurch on Friday 17 April 7.30pm.

Using film footage from the era, and backed by his fabulous five-piece band, Barry Steele will bring the life and character of Roy Orbison back to the centre stage, where it truly belongs, as he puts the rock back into The Big O, with his trademark dark rimmed glasses, soaring vocals and Orbison style.

Barry has been wowing Roy Orbison fans around the world with major sell-out tours of Denmark, New Zealand, Holland, Belgium and Germany to his credit.

Prior to this, Barry was part of the touring show Rockin’ On Heaven’s Door, where he represented the Big O with hits like: Only the Lonely, Pretty Woman, Ooby Dooby, Crying, Blue Angel, Mean Woman Blues, California Blue and You’ve Got It.

Add to the mix Barry’s special star guest tributes to Jerry Lee Lewis with Boogie Williams and Elvis Presley with Paul Malloy and this concert is one spectacular fusion of good old “rock ’n’ roll” and contemporary musical genius all on one stage.
