A MAGICAL and musical performance promises to bring colour to a Romsey theatre.
Pupils of the Hampshire Collegiate School will stage Into the Woods – an imaginative adventure by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, told through Grimms’ fairy tales.
As the intricate plot unfolds, the childless baker and his wife, cursed by the wicked witch, go off into the woods in hopes of ridding themselves of the witch’s evil influence.
There they encounter Cinderella, her prince, Little Red Riding Hood, the Wolf, Jack, Rapunzel and other fairytale characters who are attempting to realise wishes of their own.
The production promises to bring talent and music on stage at The Plaza in Romsey, from Thursday, January 29, to Friday, January 30, at 7.30pm.
Both students and staff have been involved in the acting, set design, stage management, costumes and lighting.
