TANTRUMS will be flying all over the place when a Hampshire amateur dramatics society present its first production of 2015.

Mizzis Horrocks’ class of seven-year-olds is about to perform their nativity at Flint Street Junior School for the proud mums and dads – and the occasional social worker.

Squabbles arise when Gabriel wants to play Mary, the Star grumbles he’s not a proper star like they have at NASA, Herod won’t stop waving to his mum and dad and the subversive innkeeper is determined to liven up the traditional script.

And then the stick insect escapes...

With original lyrics set to Christmas carols and adult members of Lyndhurst Drama and Musical Society playing the part of children in The Flint Street Nativity.

Directed by Debbie Murray and Hannah Marks, the show runs on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday January 29, 30, and 31 at the Vernon Theatre, Sandy Lane, Lyndhurst from 7.45pm.

Tickets are available from The Gadget Tree, High Street, Lyndhurst from early January or via 023 8028 2729.
