THE father of tragic soul superstar Amy Winehouse will be taking centre-stage in Hampshire at a charity fundraiser.
Away from his life as a London cabbie, Mitch Winehouse has become a jazz singer in his own right.
In memory of his daughter, his own albums have raised thousands for a foundation helping steer young people away from drug and alcohol addictions.
The British and Grammy award-winner was found dead on July 23, 2011 at her London home, aged just 27.
Her distinctive style of singing, spanning a range of genres, brought her global fame.
Mitch will be bringing his band to The Concorde Club in Stoneham Lane on Friday January 16 in aid of the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
His Concorde appearance comes just a year after the Eastleigh club staged a special tribute to Amy to mark what would have been her 30th birthday.
On December 27, 2014, singer Laura Jane will be bringing the UK’s most authentic Amy Winehouse Show to The Concorde.
