Elaine Paige concert cancelled
ELAINE Paige's forthcoming concert at Breamore in the New Forest has been axed.
Organisers announced today that the musical theatre star's performance at the Fordingbridge venue has been cancelled.
The concert was due to take place on Friday, September 12, kicking off a weekend of concerts from big names.
A spokesperson announced that the cancelled was as a result of "operational circumstances beyond their control".
They added: "We are committed to giving all our guests the Breamore live music experience and although the Friday concert will not now take place, the programme and content for the weekend, featuring quality music from widely acclaimed singers and musicians, will remain as the benchmark for future Breamore Concerts."
Anyone who bought tickets for the concert is being offered their ticket money back, plus one free ticket to both the Saturday and Sunday concerts, as well as a special priority discount on tickets for the 2009 event.
The Saturday night concert, The Here and Now Show', will star Kim Wilde, Bananarama, Belinda Carlisle, Paul Young, Altered Images, Toyah and Kid Creole and The Coconuts.
On Sunday, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, supported by Natasha Marsh and Alfie Boe, perform the Breamore Proms.
Anyone affected should call the box office on 023 8071 1818.
