Turner Sims will present an evening of Flamenco music

Voted among the top flamenco guitarists in the world by US Guitar Player magazine, Juan Martín returns to the Turner Sims Concert Hall in Southampton on Thursday May 8
He will present his stunning new show, supported by a line-up of the finest musicians and flamenco dance.
Martin's ensemble is at the vanguard of modern flamenco, with a unique style of music that succeeds in embracing classical, jazz and modern harmonies while upholding the great flamenco tradition.
With 14 albums to his credit, Juan is a gifted composer as well as a virtuoso on Flamenco guitar.
His style of playing is highly individual, perfected during his years spent studying Málaga and further developed through experience of playing in Madrid. He has also performed alongside the Royal Philharmonic and high calibre artists such as Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock.
The show starts at 8pm.
