Life’s just a big laugh

THE much-loved host of Radio 4’s Just a Minute, Nicholas Parsons, is coming to Winchester this summer.

He will be regaling fans with memories of his life and career in An Audience with Nicholas Parsons — Just a Laugh a Minute.

The show at the Theatre Royal, Winchester, is designed to appeal to young and old.

He will take the audience on a nostalgic journey through often hysterically-funny anecdotes from his long and eventful career as a radio and television star, comedian and entertainer.

Gifted with the ability to see the funny side of every situation, he will highlight the events that have shaped his career.

Using skills as a mimic, he not only recalls many zany events, but also re-creates them with vivid impersonations of the famous personalities involved.

In addition to hosting Just a Minute for four decades, he has also taken his one-man show around the world.

He has also presented The Nicholas Parsons Happy Hour at the Edinburgh Festival and hosted several one-off shows for Radio 4.

He will be appearing at the Theatre Royal in Jewry Street on Friday, July 3, at 8pm.

Tickets cost £17, while concessions pay £15 and theatre friends £14.50.
