THE Nuffield Theatre, Southampton, has launched its very own search for local stage talent.
It is currently seeking eight to 18-year-old performers to join the cast of its magical Christmas production of Peter Pan, which will run at the theatre from November 29, 2007, toJanuary 12, 2008.
The Nuffield team will hold open auditions to find talented young performers able to sing, act and move in time to music.
They need plenty of Lost Boys and Girls, boys to play John and Michael Darling, and 15 to 18-year-olds to play pirates.
The production, adapted and directed by Nuffield Theatre artistic director, Patrick Sandford, will take the form of a re-telling of the classic JM Barrie story.
Auditions will be held at the theatre in two sessions on Saturday, September 22.
Performers will need to be available for evening workshops on October 1, October 16, November 1 and November 10, and rehearsals from November 12 to 24, and for production week and performances from November 26 to January 12.
