PREVIEW
Stockbridge Music concerts at St Peter’s Church

A STOCKBRIDGE group has announced its latest series.

It starts on March 14 with La Serenissima presenting Great Sonatas of Venice. The ensemble has established itself as one of the leading exponents of Antonio Vivaldi and his Italian contemporaries.

Led by Adrian Archer, an acknowledged expert on the original manuscripts of this music, the repertoire is edited by him, a testament to its commitment and passion for rare and exciting Italian music. A young choir bursting with enthusiasm, Sansara, pictured, is back by popular demand on April 11 with Early European Music.

The choir is made up of young singers from Hampshire and burst on to the scene last year.

The Brook Street Band follows on June 6 with A Handelian Ensemble.

The band was formed in 1995 and the name comes from the street in London’s Mayfair where Handel lived and composed for most of his working life.

All of the concerts, put on by Stockbridge Music, are at St Peter’s Church in Stockbridge. For full details and tickets go to stockbridgemusic.co.uk.
