The King's Chamber Orchestra (KCO), with its distinguished and irrepressible director Gerard Le Feuvre, is stopping off in Romsey on its winter tour.
KCO will bring its 'The Light Fantastic' programme to Romsey Abbey next Friday (November 28) at 7.30pm, a joint venture between Romsey Abbey and New Life Church.
Bringing the orchestra, which normally performs in Southampton as part of its tour, to the Abbey is a coup for the town.
Internationally renowned cellist and chamber musician Le Feuvre is known for his sense of humour and lively performances. Expect improvisation, uplifting pieces and surprises on the night, from the orchestra, known for its sense of fun.
Le Feuvre said: 'At this time of year we become twice as manic as normal and often lose out on the reason for the season. We feel our music brings a bit of peace in the run up to Christmas.'
Tickets for this special evening will cost £15 and can be purchased from www.musicinromsey.ticketsource.co.uk.
