Romsey Abbey is marking the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War with a very special guest speaker.
Kate Adie OBE, the respected and renowned journalist and author, is giving a talk entitled “Christian Women in World War One”, exploring the important and changing role of women during the First World War. Her talk starts on Saturday, November 22 at 7.30pm and admission is free with a retiring collection for Abbey funds.
The broadcaster had been due to give the talk at last month’s Ethelflaeda Festival at the Abbey but had to cancel at short notice.
