A HAMPSHIRE-based pianist and composer is heading for Romsey.
Charles Timberlake will be giving a charity piano recital at Romsey Abbey tomorrow (Saturday). The programme of music starts at midday and concludes at 3pm. Admission is free but concert goers can leave donations which will go to Naomi House Children's Hospice and Jack's Place at Sutton Scotney near Winchester.
This is the fourth recital Mr Timberlake who lives at Titchfield, has staged in aid of the two hospices and the pianist will be playing a variety of styles of music ranging from well-known ballads, show tunes and TV themes to ancient and modern hymns.
Mr Timberlake is raising funds for St Peter's Church in Titchfield on Sunday November 16 at 6pm. This will include an hour of music and poetry for Remembrance and preparing for Advent. Entertainment will include Mr Timberlake on the piano, the poet Samantha Wynnes-Rhydderch, violinist Cathy Mathews and the Music Group from Shoreline Church in Stubbington near Fareham.
Tickets cost £8 and are available from St Peter's Church office by calling 01329 847003 Monday to Thursday mornings.
