A circus is pitching its big top in North Baddesley this week.
Circus Ginnett will be on the Recreation Ground for three days from Friday (September 5)
The 90-minute show features Bulgarian husband and wife acrobats Veselka and Naedyalko making their UK debut alongside their daughter, Yana, who, at the age of five, is the youngest circus hula hoop artist in the country.
Also appearing will be Vader the Wonder Dog assisted by Patrick Austin and bill-topping act the Easy Riders, who perform a high wire motorcycle act.
The Ginnetts, who were thought to be members of the French cavalry, came to England during the Napoleonic wars.
Between 1890 and 1930 Ginnetts circus grew to become one of UK’s largest and is now one of UK's oldest outfits still travelling.
Show times are 6.30pm on Friday, 3pm and 6pm on Saturday, and 2pm on Sunday.
