PARENTS have been warned to be vigilant after repeated sightings of a man acting suspiciously outside a school.
Letters have been sent home with pupils at Western Primary School in Winchester after reports of the same man spotted both in the grounds and in nearby roads.
The most recent sighting was reported in Browning Drive on Tuesday at the end of the school day but the man has previously been seen sitting on a wall in nearby Greenhill Road.
Head teacher Peter Burbridge sent a letter to parents warning them and confirming that the police had been informed, while children have been reminded about stranger danger.
Several parents said they were concerned, but happy with how the school was handling the situation.
Jessica Gates, 25, of Andover Road, said: “The school alerted everybody straight away with an email and a text message and the police were here on Wednesday at the gates.”
In the letter, the man is described as 6ft, aged 30-40, with light coloured stubble. He was wearing an orange hoodie, jeans and trainers.
