AMPFIELD School pupils have been delving into the lives of Egyptians.

Thirteen children aged between eight and 11 dressed up as mummies and pharaohs as part of their work exploring Egypt’s history.

Even Cleopatra appeared in the form of a teacher during the activities.

School senior administration officer Tracey Dobson said the Egyptian story is part of Keystage Two children’s work this term and the children have even been practising their writing skills in Egyptian.
