FAIR OAK nicked an important victory at struggling Trojans thanks to a superb final over by young seamer Ben Powis.
Seventeen-year-old Powis capitalised on a fine all-round performance by Andy Sturman when asked to bowl the last over with Trojans needing just three to win with four wickets in hand.
Sturman took a superb catch, running backwards at mid-on, to get rid of Chris Bixley for 23 from the first ball of the over. And Powis then bowled four dot balls to Jamie Donaldson, who had previously scored 20 runs quickly.
A scrambled leg-bye off the last ball of the match was all Trojans could manageand left Fair Oak unlikely victors by the narrowest of margins.
