A WINCHESTER-based homebuilder has undergone a name change.
Kenmore Homes is now known as Highmore Homes, following its acquisition by property fund manager Highcross Strategic Advisors in September 2007.
The idea is to recognise more clearly its position within the Highcross investment portfolio.
Established in 2001, the company has grown rapidly to build a nationwide presence with offices in Winchester, Birmingham, Chelmsford, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The company has a projected development pipeline of around 3,000 units in more than 50 projects across the UK, with the annual turnover for 2007/08 forecasted to be around £100m.
Highmore specialises in creating joint venture partnerships with other residential developers and financial institutions, and also includes a direct development business, following its acquisition of Scottish house builder A B Hamilton Holdings Limited in January 2006.
In a statement, joint managing directors, Charles Wilkinson and Drew Reid, said: "Since our creation in 2001 we have continually evolved to improve our performance in the marketplace.
"Our re-brand to Highmore is an exciting further step in this process and properly reflects the new ownership of the business, identifying us more closely with Highcross.
"We look forward to continuing to grow the company in 2008, building on our growing reputation as a leading, innovative residential developer."
