A BREWERY near Winchester has been awarded runner-up with a coveted farm produce award.
Upham Brewery was presented second prize at the Farm Produce Awards, a national competition run by Great British Food Magazine, for its Punter ale.
It was chosen among a range of entries in the Bottled Beer category.
Over 300 food and drink producers from across the country entered into the 14 different categories.
Faye Pain, sales and trade marketing manager at Upham Brewery, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have our best-selling ale, Punter, recognised in these awards where it was up against some of the very best ales in the market. Upham Brewery is passionate about celebrating quality British produce and we hope the overall Awards and individual recognition will help to further promote all the entries to new customers.”
