WHEN it comes to supporting Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, Absolutely Offices is absolutely the best.
And to prove this, Beryl Huntingdon, the managing director of the serviced office business in Lutyens Close, Chineham was presented with a certificate of patronage. The gold patron award was presented by Hampshire Chamber acting chairman Derek Chartres at a barbecue held at The Manor House, at the Absolutely Offices campus.
Beryl said: “I was pleased to accept the patronage on behalf of Absolutely Offices, and I look forward to continuing to work with the chamber.”
The barbecue, which was attended by chamber members and guests, raised around £500 for a new national charity called Heartburn Cancer Awareness Support.
Also at the gathering was the chamber’s newly-promoted deputy chief executive Maureen Frost, who still retains her responsibilities as the organisation’s director of operations.
She spoke about the changes Hampshire Chamber has undergone over the past 18 months and how pleased she is with the new base at The Manor House where the barbecue was held.
Commenting on the move from the Civic Offices, in London Street, to the attractive listed Lutyens brick building, Maureen said: “We needed to move quickly from our old offices in Basingstoke. The accommodation we have here at The Manor House is exactly what we wanted and a lot more suitable for the chamber and the staff.”
Beryl is looking forward to the INSPIRE12 Business Awards, set to take place at the nearby Hampshire Court Hotel, on Thursday November 15.
“We have been an event sponsor of the INSPIRE awards right from the start,” said Beryl. “I’m looking forward to the gala evening as yet again it is going to be a great success. And I understand there have been a record number of entries this year.”
