Destination Basingstoke which works to promote the borough has won the backing of Phillips Solicitors

DESTINATION Basingstoke has received the backing of one of Basingstoke’s leading law firms.
Phillips Solicitors, based in London Street and which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, has shown its commitment to Basingstoke by becoming core sponsors and stakeholders in the not-for-profit company.
Destination Basingstoke works to promote Basingstoke and the surrounding area through projects and events such as the well-established A Place to be Proud of Awards and the Destination Basingstoke Shire Half-Marathon, which was held for the first time last year.
As a core sponsor, Phillips Solicitors has agreed to make a medium-term commitment to funding the main costs of Destination Basingstoke to allow it to develop projects and initiatives that promote the area.
Jonathan Pender, director at Phillips Solicitors, said: “We have worked with Destination Basingstoke over the last few years by supporting a range of projects including the BE INSPIRED business event and the half-marathon. “These are just the sort of projects that we want to be associated with – they demonstrate just what a great place Basingstoke is to live in and do business, and we enjoy working with Destination Basingstoke. “As a company that places great emphasis on high quality and personal service, we have much in common with Destination Basingstoke and I am looking forward to getting even more involved in the running of the organisation.” Phillips joins AXA Wealth, Computer 2000, Lilly and David Wilson Homes as firms that have also recently become core sponsors of Destination Basingstoke.
