Staff at Portsmouth Football Club not paid their January wages

Fratton Park Fratton Park

STAFF at Portsmouth FC have not been paid their wages.

HMRC issued a winding up petition against the club earlier this month.

Since then, Pompey's bank account has been frozen, according to administrator Andrew Andronikou.

Both players and staff have been left without their salary for January.

How much longer before they get docked points? Don't want them out of business, just to drop through the divisions until they are in the conference where they should be.

Its not the fa thats holding back it would be the football league, and we are not in administration so they cannot dock points,READ THE RULES.And we will not go into administration because Chanrai will pay the tax bill, because he wont want to loose his 17m he is owed.

Chanrai is as likely to get any money back from Skatesville United as Simon Jordan is from Palace.

At some point he will have to stop throwing good money after bad and allow them to slip into the oblivion that is the lower leagues.

pompey phil , When we had rupert lowe and southampton leisure holdings in charge of us , is was they who went into admin and not our club as our club was still trading. It was the SLH PLC accounts that got frozen but the FL still docked us pts. Even our administrator at that time said football club not in admin only company that owned us. So im afraid your club is in same shoes. Your club comes under which ever owner u have and u r in admin and winding up order and a complete **** mess. The FL should deduct pts for you being in Admin and still owing creditors money.

If the FL have any b@lls a points deduction will follow in about 3 weeks time when the tax bill isn't paid.

As it will be the 2nd time, it should be about 20 points.

By the way, the picture is Krap Nottarf turnstiles on a "busy" match day.

You are correct in your assumption when it is applied to 90 of the other 91 clubs in the 4 divisions, but when it comes to Poopee all normal standards disappear.

I hope they go through the trapdoor & plummet into at least League 2.

The administrator is appointed by csi the parent company for pfc,its csi that is in administration, not pfc, when csi obtained ownership of pfc they were to pay chanrai's company portpin in installments, and if they missed a payment then chanrai would regain control of the club, the administrator is now trying to sell off the assests of csi one of which being pfcthats why he has been appointed to sell the club on chanrai's behalf.

But SLH PLC were found to have a direct link with SFC bank accounts thats why you lost points.
CSI were paying chanrai in installments so the club still effectivly belonged to Chanrai, and when payments were missed then the club went back to Chanrai,And as like last time everything will go down to the last min and then all will be sorted no admin no points decuction see you in the playoffs.

Sorry pompey phil, but I think you're the one that needs to read the rules. The FL are perfectly entitled to dock you points already if they choose to, as PFC has suffered an "insolvency event" due to its parent company (CSI) being in administration. Soon to all be irrelevant when you either go in to admin yourselves or get liquidated...

costa gaz says...
11:53pm Mon 30 Jan 12

15 pts, 20 pts 30 pts deduction are the best pompey can hope for now.
Trading whilst insolvent happens to be illegal and they will be liquidated unless the knight in shinning armour with more money than sense come galloping down frogmore road before the 20th of february.
Living beyond ones will nearly always spells disaster, but to do it twice within 2 years, did they learn nothing.
Time to say goodbye, it's been fun....

Through no fault of their own, some employees of an organisation, that happens to be a football club, don't get paid and this happens in the middle of the worse economic downturn in 70 years, which makes their personal financial predicament even more of an actual or prospective nightmare.

And how do the neighbouring so-called football supporters react to this calamitous news for those innocent folk?

With juvenile, behind-the-bogs, snide comments, smirks and back-slapping guffaws.

Moronic.

These plums think their quasi-tribal warfare and ritualist ranting is for real. Laughable poppycock.

REAL supporters, REAL men would express more intelligent observations on this news item . . .

Indeed.

I think he or she is overwhelmed by their own sense of pomposity & verbosity.

As I have previously said, detractors of Saints' fans comments on here regarding Portsmouth should investigate the words & behaviour that emanate from the eastern end of the M27 & then I think they would have a better understanding of the reason for our attitude towards the disgusting element that support PFC.
