BLUEBIRD Care, which supplies services for people in Basingstoke and Deane and Hook, has launched a recruitment campaign, to get more people providing care as the winter months draw closer.

With an increasing population of older people across the UK, 61 per cent of individuals with low care needs now arrange for someone to come into their own home to help look after them.

Over the last year experts at Bluebird Care has developed and launched a new application called the Staff Guide App.

This supports care assistants out in the community, giving them instant access to the information they need about the people they look after.

On top of this, Bluebird Care, which is based in Hook has implemented both the PASSsystem and openPASS, this allows care teams instant access to customer care plans, keeping office staff informed of any developments.

Phil Miles, director of Bluebird Care Hook said: “At Bluebird Care Hook we support our customers in their own home, with their own surroundings to live the life they choose.

“I believe in offering every member of my team the best training and career progression opportunities, supporting them in delivering the very best home care.”

As part of the campaign, Bluebird Care Hook will be promoting their range of job opportunities on social media, and at recruitment fairs and community events throughout the winter months.

Mr Miles added: “With an obvious shift in people living longer and more individuals wanting to remain in their own home, it is important we are well equipped to continue to deliver the high-quality care that is expected.

“Developments like the Staff Guide App and the PASSsystem really support my care team in delivering excellence in care across the areas in which we serve.”
