A NETWORKING event for local businesses has been deemed a huge success after every single ticket was sold.

Business networking group, Business over Breakfast (BoB) Hampshire, hosted a sell-out event for its #BoB 100 networking event on Thursday, 7 September at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, in Old Common Road.

The early morning event allowed entrepreneurs to meet with company directors, promote their businesses and meet potential suppliers, without taking too much time out from running their businesses.

Regional director for BoB Hampshire, Martin Fowler raised the success of the event, and its 100 per cent attendance.

Mr Fowler said: “We know that time is at a premium for people who are building their businesses. BoB100 events are designed to help entrepreneurs to meet the maximum number of potential customers and suppliers in the space of one morning,”

“The pilot BoB100 event took place on February 16, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Southampton, and attracted more than forty businesses. Word quickly spread that the event was helping local entrepreneurs to attract new business and find reliable suppliers.”

Mr Fowler added: “We’ve held two #BoB100 events previously, but this is the first time that the tickets have completely sold out ahead of the event. It just goes to prove what a thriving business community there is around Basingstoke.

“According to the latest Office of National Statistics records, there were 7,430 new businesses founded in Hampshire during 2015, of which 1,005 were based in the Basingstoke and Deane area. We want to help these young businesses to survive and thrive by providing a friendly support network of advisers, suppliers and customers.”
