A WINCHESTER community cafe celebrated its fifth birthday in sweet style.
The Leaf and Bean Cafe in Stockbridge Road, welcomed customers old and new for the celebrations which included free cupcakes being handed out.
The cafe is run by Carolyn Breakwell and Janet Jones who had careers in book-keeping and a teaching before starting the cafe.
The pair loved baking, catering and working with people so decided to jump at the chance of running the cafe.
Carolyn Breakwell said: "We just really enjoy being part of the local community. It is very much a community cafe we get a number of local people that come in all the time and it is all about building up friendships in the local area."
