AN expanding chain of cycle shops has come to Southampton.

Cycle Republic has opened its fourteenth outlet in Brunswick Place.

The new shop enjoys a wide frontage and is stocked with a range of bikes, parts, accessories and clothing.

Exclusive brands include the Boardman range, started by the legendary Chris Boardman and the Basso range of road, track and CX bikes in the world.

The shop's tech centre also features the latest technology ‘Smartfit’ bike sizing technology providing the customer with a seamless experience in finding the correct sized bike.

Customers can also take bikes on a test ride in as part of a free ‘try before you buy’ scheme.

Cycle Republic managing director Peter Kimberley said: “Southampton is a fantastic city which is rapidly growing and committing significant investment within its cycling infrastructure. We are extremely pleased to have such a great location in centre of Southampton, allowing us to offer something different to the local cycling community”

The company opened its first store at Euston Tower, London in December, 2014. Its flagship store is in in Fenchurch Street, one of six other outlets in.the capital. Outside of London it has shops in Bristol, Norwich, Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds.
