TOWN Quay has been given the ultimate accolade of being recognised as a Marina of Distinction by users and visitors.

Customers of the marina have given the marina top marks over the past three years, earning it the top award.

Town Quay manager Lex Hanham, said she was delighted to accept the award.

“We have worked hard to ensure we provide the best possible facilities and customer service to clients using Town Quay

“It is really gratifying to be recognised in this way – especially as this is as a result of being a category finalist over three consecutive competitions,” said Lex.

Jon White of The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) presented Lex with the award at Town Quay.

Jon said: “TYHA are very pleased for the first time to have awarded Marina of Distinction in the UK Coastal (under 250 berths) category to Southampton Town Quay Marina.

“Marina of Distinction is awarded for continual customer service excellence over 3 consecutive years as voted by marina customers in the Marina of the Year competition. Marina of Distinction is only awarded to marinas who are category finalists for 3 consecutive years, on the 3rd year of achieving this Marina of Distinction is awarded in recognition of outstanding long term customer service.

“This award is evidence that the customer service provided by the team at Southampton Town Quay Marina is of the highest professional standards and greatly appreciated by berth holders and customers at this excellent 4 Gold Anchor marina.”
