A LEADING insolvency and restructuring firm has strengthened its presence in Hampshire with the opening of a new office and senior appointment.

CVR Global has expanded into Prospect House in Southampton’s Ocean Village in the city and has welcomed Simon Lowes to its partner team.

The firm, which was formed in 2015 following the management buyout of the business recovery division of accountancy firm Chantrey Vellacott, has moved from premises in Brunswick Place.

New recruit Simon Lowes is a licensed insolvency practitioner with more than 30 years of experience and he joins Matthew Fox as CVR’s second partner based in Southampton.

During his career, Lowes has worked for both national and regional insolvency and recovery firms on the south coast, covering all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency.

Matthew Fox, partner at CVR Global, said: “We’re delighted to have opened the new office and to welcome Simon to the firm.

“The firm has grown considerably since the launch last year and upgrading to a bespoke office in Ocean Village was a perfect fit for us.

Simon, who in recent years has assisted businesses in the manufacturing, marine, retail, property and leisure industries, said: “It is an exciting time to join CVR Global, with the team continuing to grow and with the expansion in Southampton.

“Having been a business owner myself, I understand the pressures and challenges that need to be overcome and I am firmly of the view that positive solutions can often be achieved in difficult circumstances.”

CVR Global offers restructuring, insolvency and pensions advisory services and has further UK offices in London, Birmingham, Colchester, Northampton and Hove, along with branches in Jersey, Gibraltar and the British Virgin Islands.

The firm is a member of one of the world’s largest professional services networks – Geneva Group International, a global alliance of independent accounting, law and management accounting firms with more than 500 members and over 700 member offices.
