IT was an evening of long floral skirts, denim-on-denim and oversized accessories.

Fashion-conscious Winchester socialites gathered at Hotel du Vin for the much-awaited House of Gallét fashion show on Thursday which saw models strut their stuff clad in neutral tones as well as flamboyant colour.

It was hosted in part to help raise funds and awareness for children’s hospice charity, Naomi House.

Forming part of the highly-celebrated Winchester Fashion Week, the event saw audience members clapping favourably at the many different designs flowing before them.

Owners, mother and daughter, Joanne and Carol Gallét, based in Molly’s Den on Moorside Road, Winnall, said the event couldn’t have gone better.

“It was a fabulous evening was had by all, and we were appreciative of all the support local Winchester businesses provided,” Joanne said. “People embraced the format of the evening, applauding during the fashion show and showing a real appreciation of the evening. House of Gallét, a mother and daughter team want to thank all those who participated in our Naomi house auction which was very successful. The Hotel du Vin hotel, Winchester was the perfect setting for such a glamorous event.”
