PURPLE Agency has appointed a group account director to head up its healthcare team.

Andrew Jenkins was formerly senior vice president at FTI Strategic Communications.

He joins the Daneshill-based firm with Terri Martin, who takes up the position of account director for healthcare, having previously worked for Reading-based Porterhouse Medical.

The agency’s managing director Steve Shaw said: “We now work with six out of the top 10 global pharmaceutical brands across a range of therapy areas.

“Andrew and Terri both bring extensive specialist expertise to this rapidly expanding international sector of our business, which includes pioneering developments in digital communications for patients and clinicians.

“They will both play a key role in developing existing accounts such as Novartis and GSK and, of course, to continuing to build our offering across a range of new accounts.”

Andrew said: “Not only has Purple built up an enviable client base in the healthcare sector but the range and scope of their work really is leading edge. It will be a real pleasure to grow that client base and ensure that we continue to deliver exceptional communications programmes for our clients right across the world.”

Terri said: “Purple has a terrific track record in the healthcare sector and already works with many major players.

“I’m looking forward to taking this further still and to building a strong creative and strategic pres-ence in this market for the agency.”
