FREIGHT shipping firm Channel Island Lines has appointed a new group chief executive.

Andy Cook will be joining the company to continue the growth and development of the group after it established its LOLO freight shipping and distribution service between the Channel Islands and the UK in September last year.

Mr Cook has previous experience in retail, manufacturing, logistic and service organisations.

He said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fresh, vibrant and growing business at an exciting time in its development. I am really looking forward to working with the existing team and leading the group going forward.”
