LOVE is in the air at AXA Wealth as the investment and pension firm dedicates a whole week to Valentine’s Day – celebrating and recognising the great work its employees carry out.

Employees’ outstanding fundraising and volunteering work for charities and communities will be at the forefront of the celebrations as they raised £147,464 for various charities last year. AXA Wealth’s employees based at its head office in Winterthur Way, Basingstoke raised £27,453 for St Michael’s Hospice last year.

Their efforts ranged from a daring 100ft abseil down the office building to an exhausting 350-mile bike ride from Basingstoke to Cologne. During Valentine’s Week AXA Wealth employees across Basingstoke, Bristol, London and the Isle of Man, will nominate individuals or teams from their office because they love what they have accomplished for their local community or specific charity.

A winner from each of the four locations, selected in March, will receive £250 to give to the charity or community they were recognised for.

Paul Riddell, head of strategic communications, said: “The employees of AXA Wealth regularly go above and beyond for charitable causes. Raising £147,464 last year is a testimony to their outstanding efforts. Valen-tine’s Day is the perfect time to tell colleagues and friends that you love the work they do.”
