RESIDENTS looking for a job could be in luck with an employment fair.
The Gosport Business and Employment Fair, to be held at the Gosport Leisure Centre on Thursday between 1pm and 7pm, is the town’s largest annual recruitment, careers and training event.
Thirty-one Gosport-based employers will be there from the aerospace industry, business services, construction, defence, health and care, hospitality, leisure, marine, manufacturing, public sector and retail. They include Gosport Heating Services, STS Defence, Morrisons and Boeing.
Alongside them will be 20 support organisations, agencies and local training and education providers, like Jobcentre Plus, National Careers Service and the National Apprenticeship Service, to talk to people about getting into work, getting new skills, becoming an apprentice or their own boss.
