A NEW networking group that mixes golf with business attracted more than 120 delegates from across Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey.
FORE Business held its Big Networking Event at Belvedere House, on Basing View, where business people were able to play some indoor golf and listen to inspirational speakers including Adrian Pike, from green energy company Anesco, which has grown into a £100 million concern in just three years.
Sean Fergusson, who co-founded FORE Business with fellow Basingstoke businessman Arron Busst, said: “The event was publicised almost completely through social media – Facebook, Twitter and most importantly LinkedIn, where our delegates have shared some fantastic feedback. The overall consensus was that the day was very useful, that business and referrals had been generated and, most of all, that it was relaxed and fun. We’re over the moon.”
Also at the event was comedian Neil Kelso, who compéred the day, entertaining attendees with magic tricks, wit and humour interspersed with networking, and golf-themed games.
There were also presentations from Euro Pro Tour, Asset Advantage, FORE Business and charity REACH – The Association for Children with Upper Limb Deficiency – which was presented with a cheque for £1,500 from funds raised by FORE Business over the past six months.
