A FIRM in Alresford is hoping to grow its premises.
Long Barn has been growing and distilling lavender in Hampshire for more than ten years and despite the recession, the operation has grown and plans have now been submitted to Winchester City Council to extend its offices.
Long Barn says it has, in principle, support from Alresford Town Council and Alresford Chamber of Commerce.
It is also understood to have the support of planning officers.
Jane Marsden, director of Long Barn, said: “We are grateful to the continued support of the town council, the chamber and the council’s economic development team, who recognise our important contribution to the Alresford and wider Winchester economy, we remain hopeful that the planning department will approve the planning application and secure our future.”
