11:04am Friday 25th October 2013 in Hampshire Business
Ineos has decided to keep its Grangemouth petrochemical site open after Unite accepted a survival plan, sources said today.
Ineos, which has offices in Lymington, had announced earlier this week that it planned to close the site, which it claimed was making a loss of £10m a month.
Ineos boss, Jim Ratcliffe, is one of Hampshire's richest men.
The firm has said it will make a £300m investment in the plant.
