Drop-in events for young businesses
Solent Business Growth Network (SBGN) will host a drop-in session at the Central Library on Thursday.
The not-for-profit community interest company was formed by business owners from Hampshire to support new and upcoming businesses in the region.
And to help local entrepreneurs who are looking to take their first steps in the world of business, SBGN are hosting a series of ‘ideas4business’ sessions.
Three sessions will be run at Southamp-ton’s Central Library, on Thursday, November 14 and 28, while there will also be four sessions held at the Discovery Centre in Winchester.
They will take place on Wednesday, November 6 and 20, and Wednesday, December 4 and 18.
All of the drop-in sessions are free and will run from 10am to 7pm, and will offer the chance to talk to local business owners and experts.
SBGN director David Vane said: “In our experience many people have some good ideas but they just don’t know where to start.
“We will have a number of local businesses with different skills and experience on hand to advise.”
Businessmen will be able to talk through ideas for new businesses with people wanting to set up their own firm.
SBGN founder David Vane added: “Many small business owners don’t think on these lines and we hope that these sessions will bring new and existing businesses together to learn to collaborate and win new business in the area.”
Although the sessions are open all day, you can book a time to talk to an adviser by visiting sbgn.co.uk/events.
